I'm here to gift your guests
a night nobody saw coming
until it did, and they
couldn't get over it.

After three years on the road and more than three hundred nights, one thing became clear: the music is just the tool. What I'm really reading is the room — knowing when to hold it steady and when to let it go.

What I love most is giving you a good time — the kind where nobody wants to go home before we've shared a dance, had a proper laugh, and swapped a bit of energy along the way. And it's all welcome: standing outside caught up in the music, deep in conversation, or out on the floor like there's no tomorrow. That's my favourite moment — walking up to the decks, putting on my headphones, that little blessing right before the whole room connects.

What if the music could evolve with the night? Mixing that holds the room, but leaves space for the voices in it? There's a give and take between the DJ and the crowd, and the best sets respect both.

Nobody really talks about this, but a good DJ reads the identity of a crowd as much as they shape the mood of the room. To me, a set is art. The music only comes alive when the synergy does.

From the moment the doors open, through the speeches with the sound sitting just right, holding steady through dinner, and carrying it all the way to the moment their hands are in the air. That's the night I'm here for. But not every crowd is for every DJ — so it matters that we're the right fit.

Nearly every guest asked me who the DJ was

“An incredibly talented and professional DJ who knows exactly how to manage the dancefloor from start to finish. Without question made my private event and knew exactly when to tweak the music to suit the crowd. I had nearly every guest ask me who the DJ was and where did we come across her as they loved Ivy that much as did we. Cannot recommend enough. Obrigado Ivy.”

a few words

“DJ Ivy played our Mother's Day fundraiser and honestly made the night! Went to so much effort to coordinate music with the live auctions which really helped get excitement going and people bidding, and then dance floor after was SO much fun. The surprise sax player she brought in took it to another level!”

Fundraiser

“Ivy played at my daughters wedding- she plays great music and reads the crowd beautifully! So many people were up on the dance floor because the music appealed to such a wide audience. Song after song - so people stayed up! It’s clear Ivy loves what she does - and it comes across in the preparation, through to her positive energy on the night! Would recommend! Thanks for a great night!.”

“DJ Ivy was the life of our wedding dance floor, the whole night was full of fun and everyone enjoyed the music. The dance floor was never empty as my guests kept on dancing until we were shut off! Amazing night, thank you again for being part of our most memorable night!”

30th Birthday

She had the party in the palm of her hands

Every person who could dance was up there, and I had a very mixed age group, so it would have been difficult to please everyone. DJ Ivy pulled it off with ease. She made my 60th the best ever. I'd recommend her for any event.”

My sets are built from a library I've spent decades digging for — the track I chased from a film intro, a version I fell for watching one of my idols play back home, the acapella laid over a beat that shouldn't work but does. Edits I've built myself in Ableton, mashups, rare finds, the familiar reshaped into something that sounds like me. Live, I read the room and pull from all of it — the song someone forgot they loved, the build that lifts the whole floor at once, the drop that lands a second before you knew you wanted it. And like a sommelier, I lead the palate somewhere new, slipping the unfamiliar between the classics until the floor discovers a sound it didn't know it wanted.

Light transforms a space — immersing a room in warm, glowing rays, shifting and deepening the way a song feels. Mixed live with the music, especially when low haze hits it always build feelings that immerse you into a unique universe. That's the multisensorial memory power an event can carry through it's guests who gave their time away to be there with you hosting that night. And with the right mix of lights and effects, almost any look is possible — soft and intimate, or bold and cinematic... It just makes everything look better on camera too!

Production is the part you're never meant to notice — you just feel that it sounds so good. It's thought through to fill your room without fighting your voices, with clean setups that suit the venue professionally rather than take it over. For bigger nights, I bring staging, effects and a crew that scales to match, all through one point of contact, so there's nothing to chase between suppliers.
A live sax rising over the groove, percussion finding its way to touch you deeply, a dancer who captivates and invites guests to celebrate their way through it. I bring collaborators who lock right into the set — living it, lifting it exactly with the crowd, then folding back before the moment fades. That's the difference between a great set and a night people can't describe afterwards.

SOUND & PRODUCTION

Production is the part you're never meant to notice — you just feel that it sounds right. Sound that carries to every corner without ever getting in the way. Clean setups that suit the venue instead of taking it over. For bigger nights, I bring in the staging, effects, and a crew that scales to match — all through one point of contact, so there's nothing to chase between suppliers. From an intimate celebration to a full production, the goal never changes: the right sound, the right atmosphere, and nothing pulling focus from the moment.

DJOURNAL

Off the Record

A good night looks effortless. It never is. It's won or lost in the details no one's watching — the song that lands right as the speeches end, the ten quiet minutes before the dancing starts when everyone's deciding whether they're staying. Those are the moments I live for. The DJournal is where I share what I've learned — the useful, the surprising, and the occasional I-still-can't-believe-that-happened.
